Granger's LD 3 Air Cargo Containers feature a robust, rotationally molded single piece polymer shell, that can be molded in custom colors to match your corporate identity or color coded for increased operations efficiency. The single piece poly shell is complemented by a high quality aluminum base. The single piece polymer shell in conjuction with the aluminum base offer a durable construction that drastically reduces maintenance costs in comparison to costly aluminum or lexan containers. The ULD Containers also offer lighter tare weights than many other standard containers, thus allowing the fuel, maintenance and carbon credit savings (where applicable) to add directly to your operations profits.

Aerospace & Rotomolding

The Rotational Molding process produces extremely durable and robust products from polymer based materials such as polyethylene and polypropylene. Granger's stance on high quality custom rotational molding has garnered the attention of The Granger Plastics Company has been an internationally recognized rotomoulding leader for 25+ years. An example of Granger's commitment to high quality production for the aerospace & defense industries are demonstrated by Granger's TSO C90d certificastion from the FAA. At the time of this publishing, Granger is the only rotomolding company in the world to hold a FAA issued TSO C90d.

Rotomoulding is a plastics manufacturing process that is used to produce durable and rugged plastic products. Also known as Rotational Moulding, the process is used to produce rugged, hollow, one-piece plastic products under little to no pressure, in a high temperature oven, where a mold is loaded with a polymer based material and turns biaxially in the oven for a set period of time. Once the molds complete the heating cycle, the mold(s) will enter the pre-cool and cooling chamber where they can be cooled with fan or water. Once cooled, the mold will be moved to the unloading station where the mold is opened up and prepared for the next round.
